About Stacy Steinhagen
Born and raised in Waconia, Minnesota, Stacy Steinhagen recently returned to her hometown region to anchor the local news for Mankato, Minnesota’s KEYC-TV. She attended college at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities (UMTC) in Minneapolis/St. Paul where she earned her bachelor of arts in journalism and interned at Minneapolis’ WCCO-TV. Getting her professional start as an assignment desk intern, Stacy Steinhagen quickly rose through the WCCO ranks to hold paid positions as an assignment editor, a bureau reporter, and a photographer. During this period, she also served as a freelance photojournalist for the St. Paul Pioneer Press in St. Paul, Minnesota producing pieces for the paper's website.
Stacy Steinhagen’s current responsibilities with KEYC-TV include anchoring the station’s 6:00 and 10:00 weeknight broadcasts, reporting breaking news, and writing feature stories. Ms. Steinhagen also performs a range of duties as a local public figure, including serving as chair of sponsorship for Relay for Life in Blue Earth County, an annual fundraising event in support of the American Cancer Society.
